Assembled from top jazz musicians across the New York City area for the first time in May 2026, the band is a dynamic ensemble dedicated to bringing Ben Lanzi’s works—both vocal and instrumental—to life with precision and passion. Rooted in the timeless crooner tradition yet unafraid to explore modern jazz textures, the group combines individual virtuosity with collective sensitivity, delivering arrangements that honor Lanzi’s lyrical sensibility and orchestration. The Ben Lanzi Big Band’s debut recording project is currently in production and will be released on platforms this summer.
